Description Of Work:
I used Sentry Heating, Air, Plumbing & Generators to fix the furnace in winter and then they came again in the spring and fixed the air conditioner.

Description Of Work:
Replaced ~35 year old A/C and and gas furnace with new Trane equipment: 3-ton A/C (13 SEER) and 80,000 BTU gas furnace (80% AFUE). Old equipment was removed and hauled away and new equipment installed and tested.

We paid several hundred dollars last year to have it recharged, but had decided it was time to replace it the next time it had problems. On Sunday, 6/27 the old unit froze up and we decided it was time to act. On Monday I began calling HVAC contractors and by Wednesday had five estimates. Sentry's estimator was prompt and professional. He took the time to ask questions and examined the old equipment to make sure replacement was the right option. He went back to his office to do his calculations and then sent an e-mail with three separate and very thorough proposals for completing the work - at varying efficiency levels and corresponding price points. I contacted the estimator mid-day Wednesday to see if they'd be able to do the replacement this weekend, before the July 4 holiday. He said they could and scheduled the work for Friday. Shortly before 8:00 on Friday morning, two technicians arrived from Sentry with all the necessary equipment to complete the job and quickly got to work. They were also very professional in both appearance and conduct. They worked the majority of the day - taking a break for lunch - and completed the job around 4:00 PM. They left both the area around the outside unit and the mechanical room in the house very neat and tidy. In the end, other than the new equipment, you could hardly tell that work had been done. Overall: a great experience with work performed exactly as quoted and in near-record time." - David W.
